Aurora R13, fan adjust (all models)

Hi Y'all,

Since im a die-hard Alienware customer for over 11 years and now use the R13 i read several fan issues wich should not be possible. However, alienware cc is constructed to give you the best fan cooling you needed, when you mess arround with change speeds or even curved ratios it could give problem to the I/O board, and a firmware has nothing to do with it to resolve that max fanspeed. I strongly advise to do not modify any fan speed because Alienware cc have 3 options from fabric, you aint wanna mess with that.

That would imply the options in AWCC, designed by the Alienware team, would be able to cause damage to the I/O board.

This is not the case.

Hiya 3Argentum,

Yes it is, but in a friendly way.I dont say AWCC is bad but most people dont understand you better not change intern fan speeds. Alienware creates 3 profiles, still, balanced and performance.  that should be enough for every Alienware it creates for give me one reason to change fan speed. And yes, it can dmg the I/O  board because thats what happen to me 11 years ago started messing around with fanspeeds.

I agree with Vanadiel. That's a tough accusation regarding AWCC. There are a lot of things I can accuse AWCC being, such as bloated and buggy but claiming it can damage the motherboard, is not one of them.

I have no issues running a Manual Offset %

1 speed on while gaming , Thermal Balance when not gaming. No probs here R9 and R11 going on 4 years.

Nope.  I keep my fans with a +33% offset.  That's before with the stock fans, and still the same with the Noctua fans I used to replace the stock jet engine sounding fans lol.
