Aurora R13, fan temperature information

Does anyone know what temperature information is being provided by the Fan tab in AWCC and from what source? I ask because the fans report an idle temperature of around 65°C. But my CPU is actually idling at a steady 40°C and my GPU at 45°C. Just curious what the fans know that the thermal pasted components have not been told?
