Aurora R13, Push/Pull CPU PHANTEKS
PHANTEKS-F120T30 120MM PHANTEKS PH-F120T30 120MM FAN
This fan fits perfectly onto the cooling block and plugs straight into the spare CPU fan supply and gives the CPU cooler push/pull
Brings downs temps nicely all round including GPU
Fan comes complete with necessary screws for mounting onto cooling block (use shorter screws as two lengths supplied), existing chassis mount then connects to the new fan and fits perfectly.
There is no strain added to cooler pipes and is a extremely easy mod to carry out.
Also replaced to the three other fans with Noctua NF-A12x15 PWM.
I removed as the Alienware OC utility as something is broken in the software for me right now and it actually impedes performance significantly.
Should add when running Cinebench Multi this PC is even more quiet. Will be posting temps etc later this week along with scores.

Let's not get too carried away. I have the 12900KF doing just fine with an added fan for push/pull and a -0.105mV adaptive undervolt. That's locked at 5.3GHz/4.1GHz.

This is quite confusing considering the AWCC overclocking doesn't seem to work - even the Bios overclocking didn't do much for me..
I am keen to see a HWinfo log during Cinebench run to see how long it sticks on 5.3Ghz before throttling. I couldn't get my stock unmodified R13 to stay over 4.9ghz, sometimes it would boost to 5.1 (rare occasion with the AC blasting at it at 19deg and at the start of a run), but then it would spit the dummy and throttle completely down to 4.6-4.7ghz... the Cinebench multicore score was so low for a 12900KF (26,240) - should be over 27k... My best Cinebench R23 score so far with the same CPU, RAM and 3090 in the new rig is 27,389. Highest temps 82 deg

You'll be able to replace the front fans with the phanteks t30's with no problem and you can even replace the fan on the cooler block with one as well. The issue is you won't be able to put one in the top-fan slot because since it's in a "push" configuration in the bracket itself, it will press up against the chassis and will not fit. I decided to go all Noctura because of this reason and my system is staying chill as a breeze.

I have a quick question, isn't there a chance you could cause negative air-pressure in the computer since you technically have more air going out that you have going in with a push/pull on the radiator?

All you need to do is increase the offset on the front two fans to bring in more air to prevent that issue.

Going to try this mod on my R13 Cryo as AC Odyssey does hit the cpu 100degree spike. For the pull fan I am thinking of the Noctua nf-a12x15 4pin slim, will keep the stock fan as push. Should have plenty of room with this narrow fan.
For connecting this fan, should I use the open 4-pin mobo header #21 labeled "CPU fan connector"? Will this generate any wacky mobo startup errors? Or should I run it at full throttle off of the open ssd power cable directly from the powersupply?

That 15mm Noctua is not really meant to work well on a radiator @ only 1.53 mm-H2O static pressure. I'm not sure why you think you need to go skinny when OP's Phanteks fan is 30mm thick.

Noctua has complete technical specs of all their products on their web site. Each product range has specific uses, so it's best to pick the use that applies to your situation.

I am thinking its not a good idea to use that open fan #21 port. The manual shows (but doesnt say) its used when 'only' a cpu air cooler is installed. I dont know if I want to rely on the bios algorithm so it doesn't have any if-then issues with also running the cryo pump. Which port gets priority for startup errors, as I don't want pump errors being ignored. I will also experiment with a Y cable on #17 (rear fan) instead.
Checking specs and reviews on the a12-15, seems its a good use for a radiator sandwich. A wider fan would provide more airflow, but now you are blocking most of the vr-heatsink. The slim pros are it uses less power so good for a Y cable, and thinner so it doesnt block the vr-heatsink, at the cost of some extra cfm.

It works! Temp spike has been reduced from 100deg to 95deg during AC_Ody gaming. CPU fan speed spike reduced from 85% to 70%. Overall system runs quieter with all other stock fans running a bit lower. (Cinebench still pegs the machine)
I used a Noctua nf-a12x15. This slim fan does not block the vr heatsink. I placed the included Y splitter on the top-fan header. I removed pin #4 from the included LNA cable, this way the fan runs at a constant 80%, and is totally silent. I was originally going to Y off the cpu fan, but as the noctua runs at a lower rpm, I felt it would not pull enough air while matching the stock fan running at 20-60%. I found the stock fans to be a mix of avc and foxcon with a rating of 1.02amp and 1.2 amp. With an avc fan on top, even with the extra noctua I am under a stock 1.2 fan load on the header. For mounting, I connected it to the radiator bracket with 6-32x7/8" screws. The shifted radiator just hits the corner of the lightbar, but there is plenty of room to still close the side panel. I also ran a test running the fan at a constant 100%, there was a barely low hum from the fan at cpu idle, but any type of load the stock fans immediately drowned it out. Testing shown only a one degree drop in cpu temp, so will keep using the LNA for totally silent running.
