Aurora R13, Windows 11, Command Center is not starting
Hi,
Suddenly Alienware Command Center does not start when I click on it. I am getting an error "Can't start UWP: Alienware Command Center".
I uninstalled all the components and reinstalled using the 13/04/22 releases and that did not solve my issue at all. I am now out of controlling my PC.
Thanks

There's a specific way on how to uninstall and reinstall AWCC: how-to-remove-and-reinstall-the-alienware-command-center

Hi
I actually uninstalled them that way, but I will try it one more time. This seems to me Win11 related update breaking Dell's UWP apps because none of the Dell apps work after a recent Win11 update, not just the command center one.

My R13 developed the same problem with the last windows update. Any resolution?

I had the same problem, and finally found it was a stuck component from the older 5.4 awcc I used to run. The objects get removed but there are hidden entries that cause an unshown error during the new 5.5.x install.
To see if you have the same issue, go to the dell support page and manually install the older gaming peripheral driver, the file is "alienware-cc-component-application-krfw9_win_1.1.30.0_a00.exe". You can find it on a keyboard or mouse (aw610m) alienware support driver page.
If it installs fine, just uninstall it then try installing the new awcc.
If the install fails, which is what I had, I had to trick my pc to think it was still there so it could then remove the stuck elements. Easy to do! Open that exe file with 7zip, and uncompress the contents into "c:\program files\Alienware\Alienware CC Components for AWCC". Next just run the exe installer again. Now it will find files there so it can perform its hidden wipe of all elements. Next uninstall first then manually wipe that directory, now the latest AWCC should be able to install and operate correctly.
Good luck!

If it's a Universal Windows Platform (UWP) application failiure with AWCC ( because alienware uses more and more the windows store features) You can try this:
