Aurora R15, case lighting will randomly turn off and on
Alienware Aurora R15
Greetings.
This is probably an easy fix, but I'm clueless.
On my R15, the case lighting will randomly turn off, then immediately turn back on. The settings are default, I did not change anything in AWCC. Dim/Dark are not enabled. This has been happening since unboxing, but I'm not in a position to have a computer down, so I didn't pursue the issue.
How would I go about correcting this issue?

Its not you and there is nothing wrong with your PC. The memory hogger that the AWCC is, is getting confused because you have not set any lighting profiles. If you install other software it may well choose to show other funny light patterns because the AWCC is basically useless.
My strong advice is to choose a lighting profile to your liking, save it within the AWCC then use a third party uninstaller to rid yourself of a large download, and prehistoric software that has been broken for years. Top end Intel R13, choose either of the two OC profiles offered within the AWCC and your PC will crash without fail.
The other major problem with the AWCC is the fan temps it reports, they are ridiculously high, as your your 12900K CPU and 3090 GPU sit at a healthy 60 or so idle temp and all the fans sit at idle, all the fans are reporting temps close to 80 degrees but refuse to do anything about it.

I'm not currently using any other software to control the lighting. The AWCC is set to default, and the light issue persists. It has been happening since Day 1, from the moment I booted up the computer.
Are you saying I have to set a profile to make it stop? That's weird. This feels like a bad connection or something of the sorts.

Same here, got my 2nd Unit Aurora R15 and again the Light issue.
The lightning flash is triggered by new highend games, so if the machine has to do something lights start this behaviour. Iam more than dissapointed it happens again with the new replacement rig.

You can have as many replacement units as you like but it will still do exactly the same thing because again the AWCC is useless. Take away the AWCC and install new software the lights do nothing so it is definitely the AWCC that is doing it.
If you have no lighting profiles within the AWCC set up, as you install other software the lights will do funky things, that is just the way it is.
It is actually quite interesting because it will come up with lighting patterns that you cant achieve from the settings inside the AWCC, such as white stripes around the centre ring.

What Do you mean, if you have no lightning profiles within the AWCC set up? I made a set up with the colors i want and saved it and chosed ist on the main screen. Is this what you mean? And how can i set up the colors as i wish and uninstall the software, doesent switch to the default colors without the software? Thanks in advance. Diablo 4, Black Desert, Star Citizen and many more games brings my rig to the on and off effects... World of Warcraft for example no problems, cause its not that heavy on graphics.

And now it even started while playing WoW. Love it, not!

Mine started the same thing today. Any ideas? I was just downloading and not playing any games when I first saw it. I don’t have AWCC installed any longer since before this has begun.
