Aurora R15, RTX 4090 upgrade

Alienware Aurora R15

Alienware Aurora R15

Hello,

I preordered the R15 with a 3080ti setup. I’m considering upgrading to 4090 and I’m curious what 4090’s may possibly fit the R15?

I am curious if it is at all possible to get a Dell OEM 4090? I have also been told the Suprim Liquid may fit, however I would have no idea how to find room for the AIO.

Any insight would be extremely great full. Being my first Alienware PC I would be quite disappointed if I found out this upgrade could not be done. It makes no sense to me to make the 4090 custom fit and not make it purchase-able for those that may need to upgrade at some point.

Thank you for help in advance!

Honestly, you'd be better off cancelling the R15/3080 order and placing a new order for an R15 with the 4090.  I have an R15 with the 4090 and it's fantastic.  Before that I had an R11 with a 3090.  The cases are too small and not worth the headache to try and shoehorn in a 3rd party video card.

While I tend to agree that getting the OEM RTX 4090 with your initial R15 order is probably the best route, never let it be said that these Alienware PC's cannot be modified, if you put your mind to it . . . just one example

There is much more room for a liquid cooled graphics card in the R15 than there is in the R12 or any of the Aurora's with the swing-out PSU contraption.

I saw some guy manage to fit an ROG strix 4090 in the R15, but I'm not sure if he had to do any additional wiring or not.
