Aurora R16 performance issues
I have an Aurora R16 with i9-14900 and rtx4090 and it is losing performance dropping fps significantly. I have tried AWCC in performance mode, balanced and yet 3dmark continues to show way under what it should. I ran stress test and it have < 60% which clearly isn’t great. I have tried a totally clean install and it still isn’t behaving how it should
I have windows 11 home
I have recently had the processor changed. Not sure if that would matter?
but I noticed the fans never seem to start up. Which makes me think it is some form of overheating causing throttling somewhere but I’m not too experienced at how to troubleshoot
I know this isn’t a lot of data and happy to run any troubleshooting to try to work out what is causing the slowdown

Clean Windows-11 Home Install ? How ? (from what media).
Why was someone messing with the Intel-i9 CPU on your new-ish computer?

@Tesla1856 restore was from official dell restore media. Resetting due to wanting to sell given I now have an Area 51. But not happy to sell until I can work out why its not working as it should
The processor changed due to degradation from the intel issues. It was exchanged under dell warranty exchange.

Have you tried stopping the killer network service and also the killer performance suite software?
This helped with my performance with random 1% dives and a small 150point 3dmark steel nomad increase.
Core i7 14700kf
Alienware Aurora R16 with a RTX 4090.
Make sure you have the latest nvidia 591.86 drivers as they resolved a issue with a recent (towards the end of 2025) windows update that caused low performance.
Oh and make sure your BIOS is up to date as latest BIOS revision fixes the degradation issues.
