Aurora R4 Area-51 R2 Reprogramming Tool for Bricked Corrupted BIOS
File this post under 'wild goose chases & last resorts'
I've heard many reports over the years of Aurora R4 Bios updates gone wrong = a bricked mthrbrd, black screen of death etc, I've even seen a few Area-51 R2 mthrbds brick, or call it a corrupted Bios
'Blind Flashing BIOS' is a google search term u can look into ...
Below is 'Bios programming' w/a USB tool which is different ...
On the Redditware forum is a story about a 51 R2 who's Bios spazzed out & was brought back to life w/ a USB Bios Programmer Tool, I know nothing about it, I do not know if it will work & do not wish to discuss it any further ***Use the information & tools below at your own risk***

The post is new, u can follow it along as info updates, for now this is what I hear:
*You have to flash the chip itself with a special tool on another computer with windows. I used a MacBook Pro running Bootcamp and it worked perfect. Here's the tool

*You cant use the .exe file from dells website. You have to use a archive file like a .bin or a .rom that is NOT corrupted. Try to find one online to download if you cant use the took to make a good backup
*I believe in some cases you can extract the .bin from the .exe from dell, i don’t remember the name of the software, but i didnt need to because someone already posted a bios dump here https://www.win-raid.com/t4150f16-Help-needed-Alienware-Area-R-BIOS.html

The pc had power but would refuse to post. Lights/fans were on but never any video no matter what psu, cpu, ram, gpu I tried

As an afterward, LordZog tried to help w/a bricked Aurora R4 mthrbrd but then he had a family tragedy & left the forum & I havent seen nor heard of him since, that 5year old AlienArena post is here Aurora R4 Bios Bricked. Need Help flashing.
Of Note, Zog said:
"You can't flash using tools, you have to do a blind flash as it's going to flash using bootblock recovery from a USB drive and a certain file as the BIOS file.. Unless you have a hardware programmer, that's the only way to do it if you have a bad flash and no POST"
I have no input into any of this, other than I downloaded the file he posted on page 2 and later deleted, he named it BiosA11.rar, read that Arena forum post to find out what it is & what it's for, I have no comments other than -->***use at your own risk*** --> it's now available at dropbox
