Aurora R4, strange problem

Hi Dell community,

I have recently buy a old used Aurora R4. But after clean them (big dust inside), he won t start. Power supply work. I press button in the back. The motherboard is ok too , maybe the PSU is too old? Or problem with the motherboard? I want test with my Corsair RM1000x SHIFT but I m not sure if is good to do that because I don t want buy new PSU if all the R4 is dead.

I did some reading of this very issue which if I had seen before, I would have not gone for a new CPU.

This is some strange 'feature' of the R4 regarding memory I think.

If I remove mem, it will beep so I think the MB and CPU are working.

I'm not sure if the memory in this R4 is stock but if Dell really did restrict memory options, pretty disappointing.

I haven't seen anybody resolve this problem so in the closet the R4 goes for now.

Time to move on with other options. :)

@MORSAY92

Sometimes changing the coin cell battery with a new one fixes a lot of these boot issues.

Coin Cell Battery R4

@Vanadiel

I had put a fresh one in when I acquired the R4.
