Aurora R6, AWCC not opening?

Hi All,

I am experience a problem with the AWCC. For some reason it suddenly refuses to open the window. It would run in the processes and can see it in the task bar but when I click it it wouldn't open. Before I uninstalled it, it functioned normally even without opening, so the configured fan speeds were still applied.

I tried uninstalling and reinstalling, updating BIOS, uninstall OC control and downloading AWCC again, but the problem still persists.

I only want to control the fan speeds, because right now the previous fan speed configurations are gone after reinstalling. If there is a simple fix to this or perhaps a different way to control the fan speeds, I would really appreciate any help.

AWCC version is: 4.8.23.0 ,A00

Thank you in advance!

I downloaded the BIOS and the AWCC 4.8.23.0 from this link.

Thanks

Thank you for your help.

Unfortunately the problem still persists. Here is a screenshot for what it looks like in the taskbar. It does the same thing for all versions. I really do not want to resort to resetting my PC, but I might have to do it since my PC heats up badly when I cannot control the fan speeds.

While the MIO-Board is mostly virtualized these days, I think there is still a small primary micro-controller on the motherboard that helps run the LEDs.

Did something drastic happen to this computer? Have you check the connections inside ?

Anyway, looks like you might have a motherboard problem. However, I have seen a clean-Windows install fix similar problems. You could always drop in a spare drive and try it.

Yeah I finally resorted to resetting my PC and the version that came with the installation of Windows from factory definitely works as intended. So an operating system or software issue versus a hardware issue. I wish I knew what causes though or if there were another way to control the fans.

Thanks for your help either way!
