Aurora R7, GPU upgrade, AMD RX 5700 XT?

Looking at upgrading my GPU and wanted to know if the AMD RX 5700 XT is compatible or not? People seem to go for the GTX and I cannot find a video showing an Aurora R7 using an AMD. I've read about driver issues but I get a feeling that they just don't work in the R7s at all?

Dell sold the aurora r8 stock with the 5700xt.  The r8 is the same computer as the r7, aside from a bios update for 9th gen (no impact on gpu compatibility) and updated awcc software.

The 5700xt came out after the r7 was renamed r8, that's why you don't see it in an r7.

Also make sure the physical dimrnsions of the specific card you want fit the case - that means no triple fan versions.

You would want to have the 850w psu option though.

thank you for the help..

yes i did just upgrade to the dell 850w psu ( had brought it a few months after the r7 purchase ) worked great having all the and extra cables that fit right in to the r7..

just figured the stock 1070 needed a upgrade and price vs power the amd looks like a solid option till the new amds just found it very strange that no vids had them upgrading stock r7s with amds

after watching a guy on youtube WILcreations he recommends length wise 10.5 to 11 inches 26 to 27cm is max for the r7 gpu and some of them triple fan amds are near 30 plus cm

Once again thank you very much for the help
