Aurora R7, i7-8700K, compatible?

Just want to confirm that this is compatible with the Alienware Aurora R7. If it is compatible is all I have to do is install it put thermal paste on and then I’m done? Obviously I have a cooler to put in too, but is it really that simple to install a new cpu?
