For the record because it still rankles with me, the "fully upgradeable" R7 has its BIOS locked. The board will do it, but the I7-8700K CPU is the limit for the R7. You cant upgrade to a i7-9700 because of the BIOS.

On the I7-8700K will I have the option In CC to have OC controls? With a K pro
