Aurora R7, no supported AlienFX devices were detected

Hello Everyone.

I recently update the alienware command center . When i run it, it shows "No supported AlienFX devices were detected. Alienware Command Center will enable the full FX experience once an AlienFX compatible device is connected. Please note that some features may be unavailable without a connected AlienFX device." My lighting are still on, however the alienfx feature is missing in the command center and I cannot change.

Anyone had fixed the same problem?

Thank you.

Hi @prhenry,

From what version to what version did you run the update?

hi Eimy,

My current version is 5.2.24.04. I am not sure what my previous version is, because it was not alienware command center. It was all separate softwares, like FX control, thermal control. They were all separate when I first got the PC.

Ok, so uninstall and reinstall the Command Center in a proper way by following ALL the steps on this article:

Then install this AWCC version https://dell.to/2Ym8qoV ,A00 (last verified version for the R7):

Is this information still current? This pc has been a nightmare for me with problems with alienware software. also the reason i just returned my new alienware m17. I have the alienware aw988 and the profiles for each one disappeared when i click it on the headset so now 7.1 surround sound audio doesnt work on my headset and idk how to make it work. its very frustrating.
