Aurora-R7, questions, temperatures
so me and my friend have the same alienware pc (aurora r7) and we have the same parts but he has the gtx 1080 founders edition and i have a normal 1080 and we both have the 850 watt power supply with high performance liquid cooling but he gets lower temps in game and idle, i get about 82 degrees on my gpu and 65-70 degrees on my cpu when we play rainbow 6 siege, he gets about 70 degrees on his gpu and 55-60 on his cpu, and he gets lower temps on every game and higher fps and i know the 1080 founders edition is oc'd but hes still gets lower temps than me and yes i have liquid cooling but im considering on sending it back to get the cooling replaced, i just dont know if i should?

Your temps sound normal for max-burn gaming (if that's the same as OCCT stress-test).
His temps sound about 10c to low (on both CPU and GPU). I think someone is pulling your leg my friend.

Other factors might be involved, room temps, air circulation around your machine. What resolution monitor are you playing on, same as your buddy?
Your CPU temps of 65-70 C are fine with liquid cooling at full load. Your 1080 is designed to run to the 83C limit with no OC, so you are at the upper end of that temp so your case is hotter. Are you playing at 1440p or 3440p?
When you refer to a normal 1080, which model is that? Do you a card that have dual fans that exhaust some of the heat back into the case or a rear blower type?
The Founders editions are rear blower reference cards and exhaust a lot of the heat out of the back of the case. That lowers overall temps in the case and can affect the CPU temps as well.
