Aurora r7: The operating system didnt now shut down cleanly.
I turned on my computer and ive stuck on the " The operating system did not shutdown cleanly." Mode for like 30 minutes. Its just frozen there nothing has happened. I turned it off a couple of times and the same thing happens. I've unplugged it and everything. I haven't touched any of the components this just happened randomly. Its the Aurora r7 with gtx 1070 and i7 8700

My main storage is the hard drive that it comes. Im guessing thats where the os is located. Its just stuck on the black alienware screen and nothing happens. I went into bios and boot priority is windows boot manager.

I tried unplugging it for 30 seconds and nothing happened.

I am under UEFI setting. Im thinking of getting a 970 evo and putting that in. The only problem i have is dont i need the dell usb recovery key and i can't get it because this pc doesnt work.

In bios, are you under uefi settings?
If not, change it and save/restart.

You can download the usb recovery tool onto a usb from any pc, doesn't need to be from your specific alienware pc.
I used my HP laptop when trying to problem solve before.

Since its not booting onto windows is there a way a can reinstall windows from bios or something like that? Or im i going to have to buy another ssd?

You can reinstall windows from a usb within the bios I believe.
You will need to do some google research.
I would replace the drive myself since it's a fresh install anyway.
Firstly though, try and get your windows recovered via Dell usb recovery (slim chance it will actually work). But if you get it to work, you can clone all your data over to a new ssd and keep everything.
