Aurora R7, upgrading cooling with H115i
Hey guys,
I have an aurora R7 and I just got this Corsair H115i RGB cooling and I was wondering if there is any way I can fit it into my R7?
Thanks

I don't think for most people this is a workable cooling upgrade. That radiator is just too big for the limited space in an R7/R8. Maybe if you removed your GPU it might technically fit (or not, 280 is pretty long)- but it would still be re-circulating hot air inside your case. Even if this could theoretically fit on top of the GPU (moving GPU to the bottom slot) the fans would still be obstructed and recirculating hot air. I'd return it for a 120mm AIO like an H60 (1 fan) or H75 (2 fans)

as ^^^^ said; at the top would be the best place but there is no room plus one of the fans would be blocked off.
There are some Dell coolers on eBay at the moment - they do the job and fit. My experience of after market coolers is the hoses are longer than ideal - making it a bit of a squeeze when the power supply is closed - H60 is fine, models above that have fatter hoses adding to the fitting problem but I have been fitted successfully.

Interesting. So to sum it up: NZXT Kraken GPU cooler, attached to a Corsair AIO CPU cooler, and replacing the OEM fans/heatsink/shroud.

Once again, if you're not sure of doing this, please don't. With cards > 265mm long, you're looking at doing some gymnastics to get everything to fit.
