Aurora R7, won't power on, test power button working
I'm seeing similar posts in this forum. All of a sudden my R7 won't start from a cold start. Power button doesn't do anything.
Things I've done
- Replaced CMOS Battery with new C2032
- Reset CMOS Jumper procedure
While unplugged from power, If i take out the CMOS battery. Then replug the power - the R7 will start up for 10 seconds, then turn off. Then the power button will work and the computer will boot normally. The computer will work perfectly fine. I might might get the CMOS/Clock error on boot. If restarted, or put the sleep the machine acts normal. BUT if the machine is shut down. she won't start up, the power button is again Dead/not functioning.
Only way to get it to work again is to pull the power plug, remove or add the CMOS battery again . Sometimes i need to unplug the power, and press the power button/PSU test button to drain the power, then replug the power, and then it will typically start up again (once again will turn on for 10 seconds, then off. Then the power button works and it boots).
Trying to figure out what's going on and is there a solution? Planning to test the PSU with a tester. Reading through the forum - i was convinced it was just a dead CMOS battery - - but clearly it's related to the battery - but she's still not starting up as she should.
Thanks ahead for any help or advice.

1. Good.
2. Correct. Or try a spare one, or see this one work in another desktop computer.
Treat like any other dead computer. Work toward Posting, stable BIOS, being able to run ePSA Diagnostics. Yes, it's like real work/hardware-troubleshooting ... and rarely easy.
