Aurora R8, external power button

Hi, I am trying to add a external power button to my pc a R8 because I keep it in a closet away from my desk. Could someone show me the pins on the board to plug my button into?

Here is the button and ends.

That's a very nice remote switch for a normal motherboard.  Unfortunately, you are trying to enter the proprietary fiefdom of Dell which uses a unique power switch circuit board...

nothing is ever simplenothing is ever simple

As you can see, the proprietary connector looks nothing like the connectors on your new switch.

If you search back through these post, others that have replaced the Alienware cases had to keep the Dell power switch and not use the new switch that was included in their new case as connecting a normal power switch to a Dell motherboard seemed like quite the daunting task.

If you documented the voltage and any waveforms or pulses at each point on the Dell connector and motherboard and matched it with what a normal motherboard requires you may be able to use your new switch.

Best of luck.
