Aurora R9, BIOS 1.0.25
Jeepers, the Dell/Alienware Easter Bunny took time out from coloring eggs to bestow upon us another new BIOS--1.0.25.
Suppose to be chocked full of new security patches, I'm just the messenger...just relaying for those interested.

Actually, my R9 will be three years old on the 21st of this month and I haven't had any issues.
Some Alienware software would update and stop working, but a few months later they would release another update, and everything would go back to normal.
Upgraded RAM memory, hard drive, power supply...everything works...probably more luck than sense as Dell/Alienware sure don't make upgrading hardware easy.
Always did the BIOS updates outside of Windows...seems to do the trick.

I’m afraid to turn on my R9 right now because my extended 1 year warranty expired.

Same age as my R9 and never had any issues with this machine it just doesn't get used much as I'm mainly on my R11 which also is a great performer, very good gaming machine. I'm on the latest bios for my R11 but the R9 is a few bios updates behind. I can honestly say that I never had any issues with updating the bios on both rigs.
