Aurora R9, can't use microphones

Earlier this year I bought an Aurora R9. Since I've had it I've had a Bluetooth headset so haven't really messed with the jacks. My headset has been having issues connecting with various devices so I got a wired headset. It's a Hunterspider brand, but don't know much about it other than that.

I haven't been able to use the microphone on the headset, but I also haven't been able to use any microphone at all lately. I've tried updating the drivers and it says there's nothing to update, setting the microphone to default, making sure it's enabled, and I'm just at a lost about what to do.

I know it's not the headset because I tested it with another device and the mic worked just fine, and tested a different mic as well as my Bluetooth headset and that didn't work either. I can also hear through the headphones, it's literally I just can't use my mic with my computer.

Most newer models do not support Iphone TRRL  OTIA headset.

Easiest fix for this is driverless CTIA OTIA USB Headset Adapter.

Single TRRL Mic and Headphone is the standard now.Single TRRL Mic and Headphone is the standard now.

For old school headsets use this one

Both are driverless. You plug in and it works.

Looking closer at the headset you might be correct, that might actually be the problem. I hadn't noticed the jack had three rings on it, which is a shame because I just bought an audio splitter to be able to use my microphone lol. Oh well.

So I posted this a few days and thought the solution provided would work, but it didn't So reposting this.

I've attempted using an audio splitter and a USB to audio jack adapter. In both cases it shows the headset connected to both the speakers and the microphone but no input is coming through. I tried using a different mic as well and that didn't work either.

Help ;-; I want to play with my friends.
