Aurora R9, not detecting correct BIOS in Device Manager
Since the update to 1.0.14, I have had to manually install the BIOS but my computer device manager still sees it as version 14.
I just installed 1.0.19 through the exe actually worked. Still does not recognize the correct BIOS in the Device Manager. I have ready many threads but not found a viable solution.
Anyone else experiencing this too?

I think your confusions comes from the device manager firmware.
You said it does not recognize the correct BIOS in the device manager.
The System firmware listed in the device manager is the system firmware.
The BIOS is device firmware and would not be listed in device manager. The term "firmware" is confusedly often just called "firmware". It's further confused because a modern PC normally boots up in UEFI mode rather than BIOS mode.
When you flash your BIOS, you are updating the device firmware. That does not mean it also updates the system firmware.
Here's a Microsoft Document that explains the difference between system firmware and device firmware updates on an UEFI system in more technical terms: Microsoft documentation
One important thing to remember with the system firmware listed in device manager is that it is either a vendor specific version, or if not available a Microsoft supplied system firmware that is supplied with the Operating System. I am pretty sure Alienware supplies the system firmware listed in device manager. You can check in the properties box in the driver tab who supplied it.
Since I am using a retail board, my system firmware is supplied by Microsoft, while the device (motherboard BIOS) firmware is supplied by Asus.

As Vanadiel has stated, Alienware releases the updates for the system firmware and seems to run about a month or two after the BIOS is updated...as in my current 1.0.19 BIOS and 1.0.18 system firmware.
Often, when they release the latest system firmware, a new BIOS is released and the process repeats itself. I have never noticed any functional problems with the numbers not matching.
Also, it seems the system firmware for Alienware is updated through the optional updates center of Windows Updates...

BIOS and Firmware is not the same thing.
BIOS is the basic I/O system, firmware is software code loaded as part of the UEFI system.
To see your BIOS version you can use MSINFO32 from the search window.

Thank you for your response. I will try to get better at describing this issue in more detail and asking questions. My screenshot had not bee approved in the initial post. Device manager is detecting system firmware as 1.0.14. MSINFO is detecting the BIOS at version 1.0.19. You are saying these are 2 different items? I have been doing computer support for 30 years and when you update the BIOS it's with firmware. As an example, my work laptop Dell 5400 that I updated the BIOS matches the version of the update within the device manager.
This R9 has had difficulty after my initial update from version 13 to 14 which did update in Device Manager. When updating 15, 16, 17 and 18 I had to update manually with USB drive did not match in device manager. The BIOS updater cannot detect the version so it will not run. Today version 19 updated with the executable,
Why is my AWR9 not able to display the correct firmware in Device Manager?
This is clipped off a Dell Bios website:
Introduction to BIOS
BIOS also called System Setup is an acronym for Basic Input or Output System. Modern Dell computers come with Unified Extensible Firmware Interface (UEFI). BIOS or UEFI is firmware that is embedded on a small memory chip on the computer's system board or motherboard.
