AW2521H, broke, any tips?
Bought the new alienware aw2521h 360HZ a month ago and one off the best monitors i've ever owned
but today i was playing CS:GO out off nowhere all those lines just came out of nowhere
distorted and horizontal lines. 360HZ to 120HZ does not work now 60HZ works with no lines tried changing display port cable nothing worked.. i'm afraid the monitor might be gone i'm so devastated...
Kind Regards Donixo

Solution: Just plugged out my Display Cable and plugged it back in. Fixed it straight away. lol
Solutions that didn't work:
- used cru's restart software to refresh GPU and display drivers
- restarted PC
- reinstalled NVIDIA driver
- changed resolutions and refresh rates
- reinstalled alienware updates

What kind of warranty do you have? Monitors don't get fixed. They get replaced if they are under warranty. This is a user to user forum. Contact Support directly for warranty help.

* Open the online AW2521H User's Guide
* Go to page 68 and run the standalone Built-in diagnostics. Post the results

Depending on the results of the BIST, you might also want to rule out the GPU and/or GPU drivers.
For the GPU, you can run the F12 ePSA hardware test, f12 on boot (if you have an Alienware PC, or find an equivalent if not).
For the drivers, you can do a clean install of the drivers in windows; or also uninstall (DDU) in safe mode, reboot to safe mode, and install the current (or prior) drivers clean.

Also, you can plug the monitor into another PC to see if the problem follows the monitor, if another PC is available to you.

I'm also having this problem, but it doesn't display 360hz out of the box, I had to scale it down to 60hz just to see anything on displayport. Any other hz is flickering and 360hz is just a black screen. How do I get it to display at 360hz without a black screen?

I also have the same monitor + same issue as you guys... did you ever figure out anything? When I use HDMI its fine, but only max 240hz and no 10-bit color... i was using DisplayPort for the 10-bit color + 300hz refresh, but now whenever i try to use DP on any resolution/refresh rate it looks exactly like your screenshot...

Glad it's working. This is why we wanted all to post the results of the no video cable Built-in diagnostics. If it did not show the lines, we know the fault is either the cable, ports, or PC.

Hi all, I am having the same problem as discussed earlier. 60hz is the only one that works for DisplayPort and hdmi will go up to 240hz. I used the same cord and plugged it into my 1440p 165hz monitor that worked flawlessly. Please help, as I was very excited to finally get this monitor!
