AW3423DW, pixel refresh notice

I love this monitor! But, when I come home from work and turn on my computer ready to game what go I get? The pixel refresh notice. Ok so the monitor just sat in sleep mode for the last 8 to 10 hours but the moment I actually want to use the monitor it decides is really needs to run pixel refresh? Come on Dell, can we please get a firmware update to run this stuff when the monitor is off/asleep without having to ask permission? Do I really need or want a pop up in the middle of my screen when I'm logging in to my computer wanting to use it?
