Keyboard Disconnects
I was typing on my Area 51, and the Dell logo appeared full screen. I heard the device disconnect sounds and then my keyboard would not type. I rebooted and all is OK. Any ideas what is going on?

I’m assuming your new wired keyboard requires at least usb- v3.0
Try a different USB-3.0 port on the back on the Area-51 (different row or section).

It's actually an older TactX Keyboard. Shows OK in Device Manager. Drivers are Microsoft from 2006. PC is only 3 years old.

The connector may need to be squeezed a bit with your fingers to make the contacts tight.
Disconnecting happens when it loses power or data via the contacts which are very thin.

what keyboard? make and model #, any works, but what is yours.
wired or wireless?, if latter put in new batteries.
is the keyboard with fancy backlamps, 100 LED all glowing like mad.?
is the keyboard direct to PC, USB< , rear is better, for sure, or via a USB external HUB.
we can't see your PC so,,,, only questions possible
try all USB ports on PC> rear.
make sure not charging some Cell phone battery or the like at the same time on USB>
not using HUGE external HDD drives that use huge currents if the power pack to it was lost of fell off?
there are few causes.
how old is your PC, full model # and all that....?????
windows 10 64bit, and all updates fresh from MS? v1903?

Dell logo appeared full screen.?
the monitor logo? (is unique)
the PCs BIOS logo with the POST progress bar? if yes that was power failure or overheated PC.
post photo of logo is possible.

There are 2 USB connectors. Are you referring to those to squeeze?
