Looking For Cryo Tech Liquid Cooler for Alienware R14 Ryzen Edition

Hello all. I'm looking to upgrade my stock CPU Fan in my R14 Ryzen Edition to the Cryo Tech Cooler, Dell Part Number 27WXG. I contacted Dell, they said they are out of stock. This is hard to believe because they are still selling plenty of computers with this part. When I bought the PC, it was on sale so I was not able to add it on at the time. Please, If anyone knows where I can find one for sale, let me know. I have looked into other options and everyone I mean EVERYONE who has installed non Dell proprietary AIO cooler has had an issue which is solved by work-arounds. Its very frustrating that Dell makes it next to impossible to upgrade the cooling system in the current Alienware computers without a major work-around. Please Dell or anyone reading this, help.

What CPU do you have? There are better options if you are moving from air cooled. What other options have you looked at where the workarounds were so onerous that it is not worth upgrading to a 240mm radiator AIO cooler?

I've read and watched about 4-5 posts on this. Alot of bios fan errors, system won't boot, high ambient temp in case when AIO mounted on the front, causing GPU to overheat, etc. Workarounds ive seen are to use old fans somewhere in the case, use multiple pin splitters, cable extensions, etc. I don't mind a work-around, if it actually works. But from the posts ive viewed, people have had a very hard time. That includes a few guys who posted long winded videos.

If you don't mind pointing me in the right direction,  I would appreciate it more than you know.

Which AIO are you using?

How is your ambient/GPU temp?

How did you connect the AIO to MB without errors?

Any info you can give me would be much appreciated.

Thanks,

    Jon

Re: 27WXG

do you currently have the 65w pancake air cooler or non-cryo liquid cooler in R14?

the latter is available if you don’t have it.  Its cooling efficiency is close enough to the cryo cooler.

Cryo HTSNK, CPU, 125W, LED, LC, CRO
27WXG
non-Cryo HTSNK, CPU, 125W, LED, LC, SF

First . . . that photo is not my computer. I do not have an Aurora. I grabbed that photo from a post by @Real_Boy85 who may be the actual owner, and may chime in. The AIO cooler in the photo is Arctic Liquid Freezer II 240 which is simple with no RGB nonsense and a 4-pin power connector that would connect to FAN PUMP header on your motherboard. Whether or not the Arctic fans throw the startup error I do not know.

From this thread user @Vanadiel reports that the flow direction is left to right in that photo, so the rear and top fans are set as intake and the radiator fans are exhaust, which may quell your concerns about heating the case internals, to include the graphics card. Personally I do not think it would be a problem if the radiator were intake and the case fans were exhaust.

What CPU do you have, and are you seeing thermal issues with the current cooling? There is no point in installing a cooling solution that is excessive for your particular system. Perhaps a 120mm AIO cooler would suffice?

I have the pancake...  When I spoke with Dell, they said they checked multiple options. All were "Out of stock"

The non-cryo 80H81 is available through third party (eBay).  I think some users like the bling of cryo and traded for it.

I am also having the same issue. Tried a lot of things. The part is still available but for some reason why, I don't know why they don't want to sell it.
