No bootable devices

Hello all,

I bought an Alienware Aurora 4ish years ago and haven't used it in a while as I upgrade to a computer I built. However when trying to get the computer working again with all the original parts back in the PC except for a brand new hard drive I get the "no bootable devices" error. I have tried to change nearly every setting in bios and made sure that the HD is connected correctly. I am out of ideas!

If anyone has any others I surley need some!

Thank you!

Now that I think about it the hard drive may not have an OS on it. What would be your recommendation for the best way to get a new OS from my current working computer to the Alienware without a USB stick?

You can get the install media for free here (assuming it came with win 10 originally) but you need some sort of install media like a usb drive or dvd to transfer it to the new hard drive.

Do you have an operating system installed on the hard drive?   You need an OS or bootable media in order for it to find a bootable device.
