X51 R2, upgrade options
So I want to upgrade my R2 but I'm not what would be compatible with it. Also, I'm not very tech savvy when it comes to computer parts and upgrading them. My current specs are GeForce gtx 745, 6gb Ram, Intel Core i3-4130 cpu@ 3.40ghz. I'm also considering buying a new computer entirely if upgrading is too much of a hassle.

- GTX970 Video Card,
- i7 CPU:
- 16GB RAM (2 x 8GB)
- SSD.

1. I would not. It's difficult, expensive, and un-certain. Search forum.
2. Yes, that is a better idea. I suggest a tower (with a traditional [powerful] power supply, and room to cool nice video cards). Again, search forum.
