Alienware 17 screen won't turn on
When I usually turn on the laptop, the screen would flicker.
It flickers with the screen brightness turned all the way down to a point where you can hardly see anything. I somehow managed to solve that problem. It worked out for a few months.
A few days ago, I turned the laptop on to find the screen to be complete black. I found no signs of flickering. It was just pitch black like it hasn't been turned on yet.
I tried restarting it multiple times, but that didn't help.
Now it's just black, but I know it's on.
No Events found!

What happen if you connect and external monitor?
Do you hear the windows log in sound, the system is lighting up and the fans are spinning?

I somehow found a way to get the screen back to its flickering state.

There might be a problem either with the LCD or with the connection with the motherboard. If you are still under warranty and you live within US or Canada send me a PM with the service tag and a brief description of the problem so I can help you out otherwise contact the technical support site in your country so they can assist you.
