Alienware Aurora R4 Wont boot up. PC Beeping
So I recently did a format and reinstall (from the supplied Alienware recovery CD). Amazingly this CD had no drivers in them, so I had to go through and install them all on my own.
I did everything, but suddenly everynow and then experienced BSODs. So I went to the alienware site and downloaded the bios update. This screwed everything up.
The second I hit update, the PC froze and the computer crashed. Now the computer won't even boot and only emits beeps.
I tried looking through the beep code table, but my PC is beeping like 10 times, which is not even in the table.
Now I have no idea what to do (warranty expired 2 years ago). Please help....

Tried first solution, did not work, still getting 10-11 beeps.
For the CMOS battery, should I also just be removing the battery, or do what Matt said here:
. also any guide on what the battery looks like? where to find it?
Thanks a lot friend.

Sounds like you have bricked your motherboard. Bad idea to flash BIOS in normal Windows.
Try unplugging for a while and pressing power button to dissipate remaining power.
If that doesn't work, try removing CMOS battery and let it sit a few hours before trying to boot.

Yes, you can also try the jumper method.

Thanks, i'm guessing the CMOS battery is #12 on the diagram on page 20?
Edit: Yes it is, found the specific instructions for resetting the bios.
Will give it a shot soon and post results.
Thanks again.
