Sounds like it's bricked.

Pretty common problem when you try to do it inside Windows   ... 50/50 chance of bricking. Just search forums.

These might help. Read carefully.

tonyalienware,

Is the Dell warranty still good on your Aurora? Send me the service tag number via private message and I can check. Were you told by Dell Technical Support to load Bios A10?

no i wasnt told but a while back i updated my bios without a problem this time i think someone was runing in the back ground to crash the update and i had to hard restart then after that it kept power cycling    =((((((

not to sound ignoring but i need my pc for school i just started last week now im pc less and this is my next door friend laptop and no telling how long i can use it. I intsalled all my LET ME CHECK DELL SITE TO SEE IF anything i have out of date that will help keep my pc running smooth for school then BAM i have no PC. im unlucky that i got the 50% out of 100 for this problem and the timming for it is even worst. what kind of graphic designer that doesnt have a high end pc? wow i hate this laptop deletling words that i type but i was saying i INSTALLED my school programs and wanted to update my pc so it would run at top speed and checked and saw that my bios was out of date not knowing it had a risk.

tonyalienware,

The Dell policy is pretty clear...

Problem = The Dell System Bios update failed rendering the motherboard CMOS corrupt. Now the system is in a no post state.

Discussion = If you are outside the warranty period and loaded the System Bios update without any direction from Dell Technical Support, you must purchase a replacement motherboard and replace it yourself. You will need to call Dell Spare Parts 1-800-357-3355 and ask for prices and availability. Provide to them the following part number: 92JYY

You can also buy a used one.
