Alienware M14x R1 Bluetooth not working on Windows 8.1

So I upgraded to Windows 8.1 a couple months ago and in that time have not tried to connect my computer to a bluetooth device. I recently tried to, but none of my bluetooth menus popped up. I assumed the drivers had not been installed, but when I attempted to install them I got error messages saying they could not be installed properly.
