Alienware M15X: No light, No DVD, Net Framwork problem, after new OS (Windows 7 64)
After new install of Windows 7 64bits my computer (M15X REV A00) TAG number:
I noticed many damage (after the Dell: Update)
- no longer any light
- Net Framwork can't find the media
- DVD combo is present but it does not work
after searching on google, I note that this is the EPROM firmeware chip that has been crushed.
because I can't find the link to the tutorial to repair this lack, I need your help to accompany me (or advise me) to repair it.

Did formatted the whole hard drive when you reinstall windows, and did you install all the drivers that the system needs?

what dell update are you referring to that damaged this?
when you reinstalled windows did you reinstall alienware command center and OSD(on screen display) also did you update windows before attempting to install Alienware command center otherwise it failes without Netframework install (3.5 or better) , this needs to be installed prior to above drivers ..
if you did so did you download current drivers from dell or from drivers on a backup cd?
did you install drivers atall other then the windows cd?

It's done, but no result
Hard drive: formated
Update Bios: Done
New windows 7 64bits: ok
Lights: Off
I do not understand the answer (are your an hardware expert), the problem is not the hard drive but the motherboard (and you know I'm not the first to whom it happens, I think)
But, thank you very much for your help, any advice is good
