Alienware M17xR3 Black screen when playing
I have currently 2 problems with my M17xR3.
First problem:
When I play I have a black screen after various times. Because I can just make out and on again. The key combination CTRL ALT DEL does not work. According AlienAutopsy is as following error code:
The error code was:
{0x00000117 0xfffffa80072e24e0, 0xfffff88006237198, 0x0000000000000000, 0x0000000000000000}
And in the event viewer is as follows:
- -
6008
2
0
0x80000000000000
155269
System
Draco-PC

If I make a AlienAutopsy PC Checkup is, in the end passed since then, as I believe that the hardware is OK.
Second problem:
When I boot my M17xR3 it boots normally until I enter the password and after that for about 3 minutes, a black screen with the cursor point. When I go into the task manager is that the Explorer.exe process is started.
How can I solve the problem? Have until now google searched this and could not find anything.
Operating System: Windows 7 Ultimate Edition (64-bit)

That error seems to be a BlueScreen, download this program and check for the BugCheckCode, and post back with that information:

I think you should also re install the graphics driver and the Video Card BIOS, maybe also update the system BIOS, do it in the following order:
1. Re- install the graphics driver:
Alienware: Video Driver Clean Installation
2. Update the VBIOS:
How to update the video BIOS of an nVIDIA video card in an Alienware M17x R3 and M18x computers?
3. And finally, update the System's BIOS, here's the link for the download:

1. done
2. Can not boot from CD
3. done
And for my second gibts Tip one problem?
I can not start in safe mode without problems, without the black screen with white mouse pointer after registration.
But if I wait about 30 minutes until I sign up, I did. These s black screen with white mouse cursor no longer after registration

What happens when you try to boot from a CD?
Change the boot priority in the BIOS.

It looks as if it would boot normally and not on the DVD.

Worked. Where can you see if the update was successful?
Why I can easily boot into safe mode, but when I boot into normal always after login always have a black screen with white mouse pointer. This state continues for about 3 minutes and then comes the taskbar and desktop background and the desktop icons.

To boot from the DVD, you have to press F12 several times during POST, and then select the option that says Boot from CD or DVD

Graphics card is detected. In safe mode graphics drivers deleted and booted in the normal, problem persists

Let's do a little test:
First, restart the system and access the BIOS by pressing F2 several times during POST, and on the main screen check if the Nvidia Graphics card is detected, if it's not, let me know, but if it is, continue with the steps below.
Access safe mode, and on the start menu's search box type "Device Manager", hit enter, and find the "Display adapters", right click on the Nvidia Driver and uninstall it (check the box that says "Delete the driver software for this device"), restart the system and access windows in normal mode, and let me know if you can access it.

Ok, this sond's like it might be a corruption on the Operating system, or maybe the HDD is failing, run a diagnostics test:
Alienware™ Enhanced Systems Diagnostics (ePSA)
If it doesn't show any errors, you should try re installing the Operating system:
How to install Windows 7 in an Alienware Computer?
or you can also try restoring the system back to factory settings using AlienRespawn:
How to use AlienRespawn?

Have completely reinstalled my operating system and my two problems are solved.
@ RoonsteRUK84
Just try to open your laptop and clean once the two fans, otherwise delete your graphics card drivers completely and reinstall it.

@Darkshadow Drache, great to hear your system is working fine.
@ RoonsteRUK84, try what Darkshadow suggested, follow the steps in the article I posted above about how to clean install the video drivers, and also check your system's temps, check out this article:
