Always have to reset wireless adapter
I have to constantly reset my wireless adapter because my download speed slows down to around 2 mbps when i should get around 20 mbps. I know this is a laptop problem because as soon as I fix the problem using the trouble shooter (it says fixed problem with wireless adapter or access point) my speeds are fine again. But I have to do this every single day. I use an alienware 14 with the killer wireless n 1202 adapter and yes I have updated all my network adapters, but this still happens to me. Any ideas?

Hi,
Try the methods below to fix this issue.
Method 1:
Disable the antivirus/firewall and check if it is working. If it works, please contact the security program manufacturer for further assistance.
Method 2:
To flush the DNS cache:
Click Start, type cmd in the Start Search box, and then click cmd in the Programs list.
If you are prompted for an administrator password or for confirmation, type your password, or click Continue.
Once at the command prompt, type ipconfig /flushdns
Check if the issue is resolved after trying this. Let us know how it goes.

Hi,
thanks for the reply but unfortunately doing both of these things does not fix the problem.

Hi,
Have you tried using another router or using a Wi-Fi Hotspot with your phone? If not, please test this to determine if the problem only happens with that specific router or with every device.

Hi, I've used my laptop in different households with different routers so I know it's my laptop.
