Aurora Desktop, I7 920, liquid Cooling System FAILURE.
On Saturday April 16, 2011 My son was playing Battlefield 2 on my Alienware Desktop when all of the sudden the whole system shut off. He tried to turn it back on and it immediately shut down. He then ran upstairs to tell me what was happening. I tried to turn the PC I was able to get as far as the windows log on screen when the PC shut off completely again.
I took the side panel off just to inspect the internal components as I'm a PC repair technician for a small business and I know my way around computers. Well I immediately noticed that there was a milky white substance pooling on top of the Heat Sink Directly below the CPU cooler. There were also several Ready to fall drips lingering on the Copper pipeline just the the left of the CPU Cooler. As this all seemed so surreal I unplugged the machine from the wall and prayed that I hadn't lost my investment. One thing that I know for sure is liquids and electronics don't mix...
I called Tech support (Donald) Explained my situation and the problem found. He immediately took action. I will be recieving my replacement parts soon. One thing I did ask him was " Can I get an Air cooling system to replacement the liquid system" he assured me that these types of failures are rare and that he's confident I won't have issues in the future.
Well remember Liquids and Electronics don't mix. Although great for cooling while contained properly this new replacement Liquid cooler had better not fail or I will personally drive to ALienware headquarters and ............................. :)
This is my second Alienware computer the first was the super heated M5000 Laptop, which still runs flawless as long as the back of the computer is off and you have a cooling fan base to set it on. I couldnt hardly travel with that machine without the use of the cooling base.
All in all I extremely please with the ALienware systems I own. I will continue to seek out Alienware machines for my future needs. They are still one of the Best PC manufactures out there.

Sounds like the same thing happened on these systems:

3. There was another (they posted a picture of the white liquid leakage) ... but I can't seem to find it now. IIRC, that one was leaking where the hose connects to the radiator ... and it leaked down onto the video card.
I guess those hoses are glued on. Maybe they should have also installed clamps. On yours ... I wonder if the pump casing is leaking or just where one of the hoses connect to it.
If the MS-7591 motherboard and it's socket 1366 turn out to be industry-standard, you should probably be able to install a nice 1366 cooler. However, because of the unique way this Asetek cooler connects to and works with the MIO-Board and Command Center/ Thermal Controller software ... it might be challenging to exactly duplicate that functionality.
