New Order & Help Line
First post so excuse me if it's the wrong place.
I've ordered an Alienware desktop a few days ago, no money taken from my bank account so I phoned up the help line. I was told the order had been dispatched from the factory in Poland and should be here this Tuesday.
Questions-
1- Is there a factory in Poland still? I thought Dell had sold it.
2 - How can the order be sent when no money has been taken?
I have had a couple of Dell PC's and they have been ultra reliable, the help centre has been good in the past at solving a couple of matters but I've never had an Alienware PC till now...when it gets here I mean.

The best way is to check online it will tell you when it shiped and also the mail carrier and estimated delevery date.Go to
http://support.dell.com/
put your pointer over the order support tab then select order status or delevery.Type in required info or you can log onto to your account (it will be called my account) if you have one if you don't you can create yout account..Many companies will not charge an account until the order ships.

regarding Q1, Dell does have a factory in Poland, Dell outsources it to Foxconn who build the computers for dell

@ hbk123, thanks, I just remember reading somewhere that Dell sold the factory off, I didn't know they sub contracted.
@jeffcmfrt66, thanks also, I have ordered from Dell a number of times before and the money was withdrawn pretty sharply and I was able to folow the order. This time there appears to be no order and no money has been taken out.

Yeah, they sold it to foxconn, but dell have a contract with foxconn who build the computers for dell from the poland factory. They use to have one in Ireland but they moved to Poland a few years ago and then i think last year sold it to foxconn.
