13 R2, wont accept new corsair ram?

hi, I have an alienware 13 r2 that im trying to upgrade the ram in.

ive bought 2 8gb corsair vengance ddr3 sodimm ram. Removed the back and battery.

removed the old ram, slipped the new ones in battery back and case back to flip it over, open it up and press the power button to get 4 beeps. Ive tried the removal of ram and the touching of the clrp2 pins, ive had the old ram back in and all fine running with that. Swapped them over again and 4 beeps? Ive had many laptops and computers but never had this issue. I will double check the ram sticks in my 17R1 make sure they arent faulty but other than that im at a loss.

Thanks in advance for any help offered!

If indeed the RAM you purchased is DDR3 then it will not work. You need DDR3L RAM which is a a lower voltage. DDR3 RAM is not compatible per the 13 R2 specs. And you are correct, 4 beeps indicates a RAM problem.
