15 R3, doesn't run the integrated graphics
I have a strange problem here completely the opposite to what people normally complain about.
I have a Alienware 15r3 and although the bios and windows itself sees both the Intel HD Graphics 630 and also the nVidia GTX1070 for some strange reason, ONLY the GTX 1070 is being used even in windows (normal desktop stuff) and no matter what I do, I can't switch to the Intel HD Graphics 630. The problem is that using the GTX 1070 is going to consume more battery. My previous Alienware laptops all used the integrated HD for normal desktop stuff and only switched to the nVidia GPU when you opened a game. I was hoping someone has come across this before and will know what can be done about it.
All drivers are installed including the nVidia and Intel HD 630 as well as the intel motherboard drivers.

When opening the nVidia control panel I ONLY see the GTX 1070 and there are no options to use any other GPU (doesn't show the option Preferred Graphics Processor neither Run with Graphics Processor). It's like windows itself doesn't see the other integrated GPU (well, it sees it in the device list).
Any ideas?

I'm not 100% sure I've got the best battery performance yet. I read on another site that the CPU on a similar system was running at 4GHz+ even when idling. When I open the AWCC that is what I see: CPU is between 3 - 4 GHz, mostly 4GHz+
Is this normal? I only have Chrome open and AWCC...
When Fusion is slected I see that OC1 is highlighted but on the Home screen OC is off...
https://www.reddit.com/r/Alienware/comments/h8iat2/alienware_m15_r3_battery_drain_issues_2020/
There is also a discrepancy in the battery life:
AWCC closed - 70% batt 3hrs 30min left
AWCC open - 69% batt 1hr 43min left
Does the AWCC drain the battery more?
Help appreciated!

Well does it really last an hour still after windows says that?
if so, it’s just an ACPI issue.
if not, it’s a application or software issue as also saying that 4Ghz on idle with the command center open is pretty bad.
The only way my old 15 r1 would do that is if i set it to A L I E N W A R E MaxClock as the primary power plan which Turbocharged my 4710HQ from 2.5Ghz to 3.7Ghz.
Try messing around with the power plan options and see what ya get.

Well it's reporting 2hr 54min now at 54% which would be great - but that's with the AWCC closed. I'm no techy so googled ACPI..
It is possible that when AWCC in the Fused selection, that the OC1 kicks in? (even though OC os off in Home selection)
I'll leep an eye! I'm learning fast.
