15 R3, TB16 dock, start the laptop?

Hello,

I have recently acquired a TB16 docking station to use with my Alienware 15 R3. The goal of this setup is to be able to start the laptop from the dock without having to open the lead (the laptop is placed in a non-reachable place).

However, I cannot manage to make this combination work. Does anyone know if this is possible to start an Alienware 15 R3 from a docking station (including other models of dock)?

One of the key problems of this setup seems to be that I cannot install the firmware of the TB16 dock (even after BIOS & Thunderbolt driver update as well as validating the connexion of the thunderbolt elements).

I would be please to read your opinion and feedback on similar experiences.
