Does the error occur only with a specific browser (Edge?) or with all of them (try Chrome, Firefox, etc.)?

And does the error occur with all websites, or just a specific one (or ones)?

The error was not there fresh from reformat. But it startedxto occur in every browser after installing windows updates. There are a few websites that it allows, but these are quite random with all the reformatting attempts I made in an attempt to solve this problem. It does not allow many common and safe websites.

If the problem doesn't occur with some websites but does with others, it's most likely an issue with the websites with which it does occur.

Are all the Windows updates you've installed complete, and what version of Windows 11 are  you running?

It cannot be the websites because they were working a minute ago then as soon as the update is finished, then they become inaccessible (for example, youtube, facebook). It is just the windows 11 directly downloadable from microsoft website.

I installed windows 10 home a lot earlier, which is the most compatible OS for my laptop, but I had the exact same problem.

Which update (KB number) is causing the problem?

I tried to delete these updates from the history after one at a time but did not fix the issue:

I figured out the problem! After windows update, I deleted the update with KB5051987. But this is not enough, I have to uninstall the network adapters as well then restart.

I really want to get all the updates of windows 11. I might change my wifi card as I feel the conflict with update is happening there

Just to provide an update, I encountered the same problem again today but fixed it by uninstalling everything in the network adapters under the device manager and restarting the laptop. This usually reinstalls these drivers and I have to do this twice for this problem to be fixed. I am thinking the problem is rooted to my wifi card, which I am planning to replace.

Also, I reinstalled the KB5051987 update and my connection at the moment is fine. That leaves me to the conclusion that my wifi card might be faulty and causing issues, especially after being updated. Maybe it is too old for the latest updates.

@Dadimeow Hi, I have the same laptop model and the same problem, finally have you tried with another wifi card? I'm thinking trying to buy an usb card to try to solve the problem. It's making me crazy.

I posted this elsewhere but im trying to spread the word on fixing this SSL error nightmare

Alright I found the Fix.

I've been trying to fix my buddy's laptop that gets SLL errors on all browser and all websites. did everything thats posted everywhere and had no luck.

Chat GPT eventually gave me the fix.

Check Services / Background Apps

Run msconfig: (aka system Configuration)

  • Go to Services

  • Check Hide Microsoft services

  • Disable any unfamiliar services (especially security tools, proxies, VPNs)

In system Configurations, in the services tab I unchecked these 4 services called: Killer smart AP selection service, KIller Analytics service, Killer Network service, and Killer Dynamic Bandwidth management.

hit apply then restarted pc and it was completely fixed.

If anyone is having this same crazy issue, this is 100% the way to fix it. It may not be the same killer service name but look for something not normal. make sure to check *Hide Microsoft service* to make it easy to find the problem.

And Yes this Killer Intelligence center app does get installed when updating windows.
