Hi @Andrew 3d welcome to this user to user discussion forum. This is not Dell Support.
Dell support recommends maximum of 32GB at 2666 MHz, but vendors are recommending 64GB (or more) of RAM. The maximum speed of the RAM is dictated by the system board (aka motherboard) and its CPU. If getting matched 64GB (2 x 32GB) of RAM that is recommended by Corsair, they will accept returns and give refund. Check out what other vendors will offer. There are RAM reviews on the internet.
Windows 10 can provide virtual RAM, if your physical RAM is at maximum. Virtual RAM is slower than physical RAM, but may offer a good option if allocated to ultrafast NVMe card.

Hi @Andrew 3d the ideal would be to assign virtual RAM allocation to a different drive, so that it has access to a different PCIe Gen3.0 x4 bus (data highway) and does not reduce the OS(C:) drive read/write speed. The usually ignored M.2 2242 slot could be used to provide the dedicated virtual RAM.

@crimsom
Thanks for your advise. By the way good to hear about virtual RAM from Windows, just ordered 1TB ultrafast ssd. So to make it work as virtual RAM - free space should be on system disk C: (in my case)?

Hi @Andrew 3d thank you for sharing update. The Crucial buying guide for Alienware 15 R4 recommends Crucial Ballistix SODIMM 32GB Kit (2 x 16GB) DDR4-3200 Gaming Memory (Black) BL2K16G32C16S4B $175.99 Free Shipping. If purchased from Crucial store, these can be returned for a full refund. The link to your vendor was not included, so unable to compare price, etc.

@jdb2 Your words "ran a MemTest86 stress test ...never experienced any errors or lock-ups" provided great help when I was reverse analyzing the BIOS program. I wanted to say thank you but I can't reach you @jdb2 @jdb2
