17 R4, restart on boot with BSOD
My Alienware 17 R4 always restart from a cold boot. And gives a BSOD of WHEA_UNCORRECTABLE_BOOT_ERROR.
The screen flashes with a BSOD and restarts. After the restart the laptop runs normally with all operations.
Next day when I turn the laptop on again, it happens the first time then it operates normally as usual.
I can't create a BSOD dump file no matter which methods I try. It can't create the dump file but the BSOD freezes in place when I try to create the dump file using this method "Configure Windows 10 to Create Dump Files on Blue Screen of Death – TechCult "
BSOD dump file not created causes
But for me it's usually these 2 driver updates that causes the issue, as this happened before.
Updated Version of these 2 helps:
BIOS: 15 R3/17 R4 BIOS 1.18.0
IMEI: Intel Management Engine Components, 2205.15.0.2623, A08
I would like to know when these 2 drivers will be updated to solve these issues. That would be extremely helpful. As I am running on a tight budget and can afford to upgrade to a new system now.

Hi @Fahim 07 welcome to this free user-to-user Alienware laptop discussion forum.
Thank you for a good description of initial boot problems in the opening post. You have already identified that the Blue Screen (stop code) is not a hardware fault, and is a BIOS and IMEI version update issue.
The BIOS version should never be updated just because a new version is posted. Only update the BIOS version if an application says it wants a particular version or if you want a new function. Remember to download BIOS file onto your system, right click to verify download checksum value and only then Run as administrator to install.
Alienware Aurora R15 System BIOS | Driver Details | Dell US also provides links to Old BIOS versions (Other Available Versions). Please install the old BIOS version that works.
Updated IMEI versions may be incompatible with your corrupted operating system. Please run CHKDSK, How to Scan a Hard Drive Using 'Error Checking' (lifewire.com).

@crimsom I don't necessarily update my BIOS unless I specifically run into a problem. As I told you earlier, I had the exact same issue before when I was running windows 10 21H1 a year ago I suppose. The update Intel Management Engine interface solved the issue completely. As I never ran into the issue till now. But that update requires the latest BIOS to work properly. Hence the bios update.
So, the update of these 2 should again fix the issue as it did before, So I was hoping the driver developers would acknowledge this issue and fix it.

Hi @Fahim 07 thank you for sharing update. This user-to-user forum is not Dell Support.
If Alienware system was purchased with Dell warranty (check invoice), please visit your online Dell account and create Service Request so that Dell Support 'officially' knows that there is a problem to fix. Please click on Contact Technical Support to request online session so that Dell can use their diagnostic tools to fix software and/or detect hardware issues. Please click on @DELL-Cares to send Private Message requesting assistance.
Alternatively, you seemingly want to live with this Dell update problem, until it gets fixed with perhaps another update.

Yes @crimsom as I am out of warranty and on a tight budget, I can't really afford a system upgrade at this point. Only option I have now is for the Dell driver update team to somehow notice my problem and choose to fix the problem with a driver update.
And the support team you suggested at dell support, they just talk back and forth only to blame the problem on Windows, as its notorious for creating driver conflicts with dell hardware.
And in the end, they just suggest running a SFC /SCANNOW to search for system corrupt files. Useless in most cases.
P.S: The error is WHEA_UNCORRECTABLE_ERROR, there was a type error on my main post.
As the error suggest its mostly a CPU related issue or a mismatch of the clock speed of the CPU. Which is controlled by the INTEL IMEI driver. Thus, the BSOD on windows.

The problem was as I suspected in the Intel IMEI driver. I tired updating, reinstalling and even rolling back to an older version. It still didn't work.
The solution that worked for me was to disable Intel IMEI driver in device manager under system devices. I hope that the Dell driver team fix the issue as soon as possible.
I didn't face any issue or crash on booting to windows after disabling the driver. I only know that the IMEI chip is a separate chip from the BIOS chip. And it helps to turn on the pc when powered on. But after booting into windows, I don't clearly know what's its purpose is.
I did some googling and checked on the Intel official website. They say it supposed to be used for remote desktop controlling and hypervisor or something which is not available on the Windows 10 home edition.

Nope it didn't work. Doing the above method solves the error on windows boot. But it freezes the laptop if put on idle.
