Alienware 17 R3 – older Windows 10 system.

IT WORKED FINE  It does light duty for my wife – email, zoom, basic stuff.  Has worked perfectly for the last 9 or 10 years.

Wife walked into the office a couple days ago and said, my computer wanted “something”, and when I clicked, it did a Windows update (or upgrade) and failed, saying there wasn’t enough memory. 

I took a look and it was sitting in some Windows diagnostic wanting to do a Windows repair, which then booted and appeared normal.  I didn't think anything of it, it rebooted, and was fine.

The next time my wife booted and it attempted to do the Windows update again.  This time it failed DIDN’T come back up.  It now BOOTS, but there’s NO network.

I went into Dell diagnostics, and one of the things it came back with was wanting to replace a driver for the Killer Wireless.  The diagnostic also wanted me to do a BIOS update, so I did that too.

It BOOTS, but it doesn’t appear to have ANY wireless network.

I can plug in a cable with an RJ45 on it and it’s fine, and the network is fine, but there’s NO wireless networking.

I don’t know what the software update was that it (Windows?) was trying to do on an old Windows 10 system, but it didn’t work.  I freed up some additional space on the hard drive in case it just needed to update itself again, but so far, nothing.

I am FAR from being any kind of expert, so I’m at the end of my technical knowledge as to where to go next.

Any ideas on how to get this wireless connectivity working?
