17 R5, can't turn Turbo boost back on

Press [Win]+[R] and run "services.msc".

Change all intel settings from manual to automatic

Also set your system to "performance" in the bios it will ramp up your fans to help with the heat, also I have a small desk fan pushing air under my laptop to help with heat.  

Download intel XTU and then enable the turbo boost option.

@Alienware Area-51 ALX 2006  Thanks for that software suggestion, I downloaded it and it says my 2.80ghz is not able to be turbo boosted, but as you see every voltage is stock for my chipset, no clock speed, or voltage overclocking done, but is running at 3.55 ghz  love it...

I might tinker a little just to see what i can push out of the system now i have this software to adjust the Intel settings my spec results below.

Hi @Alienware Area-51 ALX 2006  sorry to let you know, I had to remove that software, I seen my temps were way high 95c and I seen my cpu was 80% to 100% being used up by, EFRService.exe Check Point Endpoint Forensic Recorder service (32 bit), so I used iobit uninstaller to fully remove it, and now my system is back to normal.

Turbo boost is speed fake marketing.  Its not something that can be SET to be ON all the time and it doesn't apply to all the cores.  It can boost the speed of 1 core if the others are idle and only in small bursts.  The CPU decides when this happens. The increased clock rate is limited by the processor's power, current and thermal limits, as well as the number of cores currently in use and the maximum frequency of the active cores. (Translation You never get all the cores running at top speed AND you never get top speed maxed the entire time.)  Don't be fooled by the Mhz myth.
