17 R5, Issues - fan, BIOS, sites
I have an Alienware 17 R5 laptop that is having multiple issues.
1.) Every time I turn it on I get an error message with a loud beeping noise saying the CPU fan is not working. However, when I downloaded a program that allowed me to test the fans and manually set the speed of them, the CPU fan was working and could be set to different speeds, the GPU fan, however, would not go on at all. So even though the GPU fan does not work, the message tells me it is the CPU fan.
2.) I also tried updating the BIOS to see if that would help at all. But I got an error that said "Error : flash command (@PFC) no setting." when trying to update to the new BIOS listed from May. My current one is from February.
3.) Lastly, every 5-10 link clicks when trying to do anything (i.e. googling the issues I have and clicking dell.com links) I get an Error saying the site can not be reached (ERR_SSL_BAD_RECORD_MAC_ALERT). A quick fix has been to clear my cache and refresh the page and it'll be fine, but after a very short time it will happen again. The biggest issue with this is that I can not access my college account on anything )grades site, google account, etc.) Anything that involves me logging into my college student account I get that error.
Thanks for any help.

Hi @Brserv776
Send me a private message (by clicking my Alienware-name) with the Alienware PC service tag number so I can review your case.
