17 R5, replacement fans

So, upon boot up, I get the "warning!  Error" screen, and it indicates the CPU fan has a problem. I knew one of the two fans was beginning to have issues, as when it spins up, it gives a bearing noise. I have blown air through the vents, etc. I thought I'd go directly to Dell, for replacement fans. On this model, they are not difficult to access, and how expensive can a fan be? Answer: You cannot obtain a *new* fan from Dell! At any price! I asked. "refurbished" is the ONLY option! With a scant 90 day "warranty"! I had thought this was an outlier, but a couple of weeks ago, when I wanted a *new* replacement keyboard? I got the same "refurbished" was the *sole* option! Since the keyboard is buried under every other part in the laptop (except the screen)? There is no way on earth I'd put in a USED keyboard! I have since gone to a bluetooth one. And even though the fans are simple (and on top, so to speak), I won't be buying USED PARTS. In fact? When it comes time to replace this laptop? Well, it's unlikely to be another Alienware! Bottom Line: After 20 minutes of futile navigation of Dell's website, I finally gave up and contacted sales, who re-directed me to parts sales (which I wanted in the first place). I got a very helpful rep who gave me the parts numbers. TO PURCHASE FROM NOT-DELL, if I want NEW. Pity.

We tried reaching you on a private message asking for the Service Tag number to ascertain the warranty but did not receive a response. Please feel free to reply to the private message whenever you are available.

Hello I have the same problems with the CPU fan on my Alienware 17 R5. Can you give me the part number of the correct fan?

Thanks a lot.

If you want to just get the separate fans then here are the manufacturer part numbers.

MG75090V1-C070-S9A - GPU Fan

MG75090V1-C060-S9A - CPU Fan

Ebay listing here

I believe that the Dell part# is for the entire heatsink/fan assembly - 0Y6MN4
