Welcome to the Dell Community @PPEETTEERR
Yes it does.
But it will run at the memory bus speed of 2666 MHz

@PPEETTEERR
On some systems you are able to "Tweak" the memory.
Then having a higher Mhz memory would be an advantage.
Any increase in the memories Mhz would not exceed the memory specs.
Maybe one of the AW experts will chime in as I have limited experience with AW.

It depends entirely on the CPU you have - which is that?
(i.e., i7-8750H, etc.)

Hi,
sorry for my necroposting but I have a problem. I replace my RAM, on my 17 R5, with Crucial Ballistix 2666 MHz (now I have Samsung 2666). Now my AWCC report 2400 MHz (base clock on Ballistix). How I can setup the frequency?

Well its probably XMP ram you got if the Base speed is 2400 but it can go up to 2666.
If you CPU is an HK series then you'll be using XMP to Overclock the Memory.If its not that Speed it may not support XMP to make it run faster.
