18 R1, will this GTX 1070 work fully properly?
Will the GTX 1070 in the pic work correctly in an Alienware 18? Also, In the description of the GPU it says that its compatible with these Alienware models: M17X R4,M17X R5,M17X R6,M18X R3, which I think they have similar GPU slots as the ones of the Alienware 18. Will two 1070 run properly, in SLI with the 18? Thanks.

None of the Nvidia GTX 10M series were ever tested on the 18 R1. The best validated =
G6RM3 Nvidia GeForce GTX 980M Maxwell, 8GB (Video card JF9HT + MXM support bracket + Thermal Pad MHR0Y)
Also, there was never a M17x R5/R6, M18x R3. So the eBay sales page is suspect.

@SEBXD10 Yes, that is the 1070 that you want for your 18. That is incredibly expensive though. A 1070 should be in the $300-350USD range these days, so half the price of what this one is. I bought my MXM 1070 a few years ago for $400USD and they've gone down since then.
No, you won't have much luck running SLI with these. For one, there is no SLI port on the card and also, the system must be set to SG mode (switchable graphics) to run the 1070. To run SLI, the system needs to be set to PEG mode. Once to switch to PEG mode, the 1070's won't work.
You will need to flash the unlocked BIOS to switch the system to SG mode to run the 1070. This BIOS is available for free on the NotebookTalk forum.
