Alienware 17 r2 motherboard
Good afternoon friends, recently my alienware 17 r2 presented motherboard problem emitting 7 beeps, based on some technical reports found processor defect, I'm looking for a new motherboard to replace, saw that the alienware 17 r3 uses the same motherboard model, changing only the processor that would be already 6th generation, could someone tell me if it would be possible and if it would have full compatibility to put the 17 r3 card in alienware 17r2? I appreciate any help.

Looking at the Parts-People web site, none of the 17R2 MBs match with any of the 17R3 MBs. Keep in mind those are very pricey motherboards, around $700-800 from what I have seen on Ebay and somewhat cheaper at Parts-People. So at that price I would not be guessing as to compatibility especially on a nearly 6 year old system. Parts-People site is here. Also that CPU is not removable so an entire motherboard replacement would be a must. So your decision as to whether repair or replacement of the system would make the most sense.
